Generic Layered Patterns for Business Modelling
نویسندگان
چکیده
When developing information systems business modelling is needed in order to highlight the essentials of businesses. Patterns of inter-related speech acts are the basis for identifying essentials in Language/Action-oriented approaches for business modelling. Weigand et al. has made an attempt to conceptualise the notion of patterns in a layered architecture founded in such approaches. In this paper we present a framework of generic layered patterns for business interaction inspired by a critical examination of Weigand’s meta-pattern framework. Through our framework of interdependent layers of generic patterns based on solid foundations that transcends the notion of speech acts we are able to describe and understand short-termed and longtermed business interaction. The five layers of generic patterns are business act as the basic unit of analysis, action pair, exchange, business transaction, and transaction group. Each layer, except for the first one, is derived from lower layers. The copyright of this paper belongs to the paper’s authors. Continuing the dialogue: Generic layers for business interaction
Understanding the business of organizations is a crucial point for developing good information systems supporting the organizations. Different generic business models have been developed based on the language action perspective. There are the models of Action Workflow (Medina-Mora et al, 1992; Denning & Medina-Mora, 1995), DEMO (Dietz, 1999) and BAT (Goldkuhl 1996; 1998). Inspired by these diff...

متن کاملModelling Electronic Commerce Transactions A layered approach
Since electronic commerce transaction are characterised by their highly communicative character, the Language-Action-perspective proves to be very suitable to provide a deep-structure analysis because it concentrates on the essential aspects of an electronic commerce transaction rather than the form. In this paper, we present a layered pattern definition language, based on various L/A-perspecti...
متن کاملCost Function Modelling for Semi-automated SC, RTG and Automated and Semi-automated RMG Container Yard Operating Systems
This study analyses the concept of cost functions for semi-automated Straddle Carrier (SC), Rubber Tyred Gantry (RTG) and automated Rail Mounted Gantry (RMG) container yard operating cranes. It develops a generic cost based model for a pair-wise comparison, analysis and evaluation of economic efficiency and effectiveness of container yard equipment to be used for decision-making by terminal pla...

Despite the heterogeneity of ideas regarding the definitions of genre, there are also common instances shared among scholars interested in particular aspects of the notion. Swales (1990) and Bhatia (1993) are primarily interested in the sociological and psychological aspects of genre's functioning and construction, respectively.. Swales analyzes the genre of 'article introduction', into four ge...
